Salina Area United Way invites community to breakfast, lunch, and dinner

May 18, 2010 – The Salina Area United Way announces their 2010 Community Partner Showcase events.  Throughout the month of June, the United Way will co-host open houses with all certified community partner agencies to showcase the services and programs to the Salina community as well as each agencies’ shared goals for future growth with the United Way.

“We’re proud to showcase our community partners,” Andy Martin, Executive Director of Salina Area United Way. “These events are an opportunity to see some of the best organizations in the state of Kansas and how each improve Salina every day.” 

There will be a total of 31 events as each of the United Way’s partner agencies will co-host two open houses. Each of the open houses will occur during breakfast, lunch or after work hours.  There will be food and refreshments provided at each showcase event.   Martin says the events would be a great family summer activity.

“Bring your kids and learn how our agencies improve lives and strengthen our community,” Martin said.
