Announcing our New Executive Director!

The Salina Area United Way is proud to announce the hiring of Amanda Michaelis as Executive Director. As a long-time Salina resident, Amanda brings with her many established relationships with agencies, business leaders, and community members.  She has business experience in many areas including human resources, accounting and management.  Her involvement on other boards has shown her to be a proven leader and fundraiser.

Circles of the Heartland

Rodney Denholm is a certified counselor for Consumer Credit Counseling Services. Shelly Martin is a registered nurse of 25 years. They share a love of helping others, extremely positive outlooks, and the knowledge that Salina has a problem with poverty. Those are just a few reasons why in February of 2012 they teamed up to become the coordinators of a brand new program to the Salina area called “Circles of the Heartland”.

Meet Our Interns!
