Join us for Match Madness!

Give a gift to your organization and we’ll make it greater – with the Greater Salina Community Foundation’s Match Madness!

Join us on March 12, 2013, from 7am to 6pm at Mokas Downtown (109 N. Santa Fe) for the second annual Match Madness event hosted by the Community Foundation.  This one-day, on site event is designed to generate new gifts to our endowed fund for long-term support, as well as current gifts to help us meet immediate needs.

 

Here is how it works:

Donors stop by Mokas that day to “fill out their bracket.” Mark your donation for the organization of your choice.  Your gift will go to our endowed fund at the Community Foundation.  The Community Foundation will provide a matching gift in the form of an outright grant back to us.  Every new endowed donation (up to a maximum of $1,000 per person) will receive a match!  Donations will be matched proportionally up to 50%.  Ten percent of each donation will go to the Fund for Greater Salina, a community grant fund offering annual grants to local charitable projects. 

Donations from Salina residents must be made in person at Match Madness.  However, donations from out of town residents can be collected and brought in by our staff.  Only funds collected at the event will count for the match.

Up to $50,000 in matching funds are available.  Additional $100 grants will be made every hour throughout the day.  The two organizations that raise the most money for their endowments will receive a bonus grant of $500 for 1st place and $200 for 2nd place.  The two organizations that have the most individual donors will receive a bonus grant of $500 for 1st place and $200 for 2nd place.
