As key parts of the health care law have taken effect in 2014, there is a new way to buy health insurance: the Health Insurance Marketplace. The marketplace is designed to help you find health insurance that fits your budget, with less hassle.
Eveyr health insurance plan in the new marketplace will offer essential health benefits, including doctor visits, preventive care, hospitalization, prescriptions, and more. You can compare plans based on price, benefits, quality, and other features important to you before you make a choice.
Still, all of this can be confusing. So attend a FREE class designed to guide you through determining eligibility for tax credits, and enrolling in health insurance through the new Marketplace. Christina Bachman, certified navigator will be holding the class Tuesday, February 4 at 6:00 PM at the Salian Public Library, 301 W Elm St. in Salina, Kansas. Space is limited, so call K-State Research and Extension at 785-309-5850 to reserve your spot today.
For other questions, contact Debra Wood at 785-309-5850 or Christina Bachman at 785-825-7251, ext. 316.
Open enrollment ends March 31, 2014.
