Grants Awarded

Saline County Department of Senior Services (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to provide dry food commodities and daily essentials such as soaps, toilet paper, and other needed items to seniors.
St John’s Missionary Baptist Church (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to provide supper to youth and seniors.
Twin Valley Education Foundation (Bennington, KS) - $2,500 to provide food, rent or utilities, health needs such as insurance coverage, and educational needs such as internet services.
Solomon Valley Community Foundation (Mitchell County, Beloit, KS) - $500 to create a program for Buy One Get One, where local gift card purchases will be matched with gift cards for grocery assistance for local families in need.
Post Rock Family Services & St John Lutheran Church (Russell, KS) - $2,000 to provide meals to youth
Communities in Schools of Mid-America (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to provide basic needs, food, and educational material via technology to students and families at Lakewood Middle School and Central High School.
Salina Area Technical College Foundation (Salina, KS) - $500 to assist students with the following basic needs rent, utilities, food, gas, bus passes, etc.
New Community Christian Church (Salina, KS) - $500 to place non-perishable items in the Blessing Boxes located at New Community Christian Church, Martin Luther Day Care, and Schilling Grade School.
Salina Public Library (Salina, KS) - $2000 to provide resources for both students and educators increasing the number of digital checkouts for library card holders.  Providing a greater number of materials and easier access to support parents by providing a plethora of free digital resources for our children’s education.    
Salina Housing Authority (Salina, KS) - $5000 to assist families with covering a portion of costs for basic needs such as food, utilities, move-in supplies for tenants and their families who are participating in the Shelter Plus Care and Non-Elderly and Disable programs.
Salina YMCA (Salina, KS) - $2000 to assist in purchasing food for children that cannot be reimbursed by The Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Catholic Charities (Salina, KS) - $2000 to assist households with the following basic needs rent, utilities, and prescriptions.
Republic County Hospital (Republic County) - $5000 to purchase a testing module for a Cepheld instrument which was recently approved by the FDA for testing of COVID-19. 
Sylvan Lucas High School (Sylvan Gove, KS) - $1575 to purchase 9 hot spots for families that need internet access to allow students to continue receiving their education from home without interruption. 
Love Inc of Ottawa County (Minneapolis, KS) - $1000 to purchase food for the food pantry.
Minneapolis Chamber (Minneapolis, KS) - $500 to create a program for Buy One Get One, where local gift card purchases will be matched with gift cards for grocery assistance for local families in need.
Miltonvale Education Charitable Fund (Miltonvale, KS) - $500 to assist families with the following basic needs of food, utilities, rent, etc.
Salina Health Education Foundation (Salina, KS) - $3,000 to assist patients with emergency food vouchers and medications.
First United Methodist Church (Salina, KS) - $1,500 to assist individuals with rent, utilities, gasoline vouchers and CityGo passes.
St Francis Ministries (Salina, KS) - $1,000 to provide food to children whose foster/kinship parents are working full-time providing essential services and not able to transport to schools, not able to walk to schools, or who are self-quarantined and cannot risk exposing others to receive free meals already provided by schools.
Saline County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol and Rescue Squad (Salina, KS) - $2,000 to purchase PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) so that services such as picking up prescriptions and groceries for individuals can be provided to our community.
The Salvation Army (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to provide individuals assistance with food, rent, utilities, hygiene, cleaning products, etc.
Salina Child Care Association (Salina, KS) - $2,500 to provide food to children at their facility that cannot be reimbursed through the food program.
Ashby House (Salina, KS) - $5000 to provide food, essential items, and medication/co-pay assistance to individuals and families participating in their transitional housing program and are not able to work due to the Stay at Home order. 
CKF (Salina, KS) - $3,500 to purchase equipment to provide patients with telehealth services. 
Central Kansas Mental Health (Salina, KS) - $3,500 to purchase equipment to provide patients with telehealth services.
Volunteers of America (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to purchase 73 essential food baskets with cleaning supplies for senior living in low-income housing at Market Place and Salina Apartments.
CAPS (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to purchase technology equipment to continue to provide services remotely and cleaning supplies for increased sanitation requirements that were not expected
DVACK (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with hotel vouchers, toiletries, and household cleaning supplies.
Gopherwood Community Foundation (Salina, KS) - $5,000 to materials for volunteers to make masks to give free of charge to nursing homes, home healthcare, and senior living facilities.
CKF (Salina, KS) – An additional $1,306 was given due to only being able to partially fund original grant because of limited funds.
Central Kansas Mental Health (Salina, KS) – An additional $1,306 was given due to only being able to partially fund original grant because of limited funds.
Downs Food Bank (Downs, KS) - $5,000 to provide food assistance to individuals and families in Downs, Cawker City, and Tipton.
North Salina Community Development (Salina, KS) - $3,763 to purchase food only gift cards from Save-A-Lot for residents of Hawthorne and Lakewood low-income apartments.
Sisters of St. Joseph (Concordia, KS) - $2,500 to purchase food, diapers, formula, and provide assistance with medical bills, prescriptions, and utility payments.
People In Need (Salina, KS) - $3,740 to purchase food, and provide assistance with rent and utilities.
Concordia Senior Center (Concordia, KS) - $500 to purchase food to provide Meals on Wheels to seniors that are not able to leave their due to COVID.
