From Kansas Health Foundation:

At the inaugural Kansas Health Foundation Symposium, held June 5 and 6 in Wichita, more than 160 Kansans gathered to examine the most pressing health issues affecting our state, to share ideas for reversing alarming health trends and to help guide each other through unique community challenges. Attendees heard from public health leaders, renowned authors and experts in various fields and were presented with timely facts, inspirational stories and thought-provoking ideas.

According to Amanda Michaelis, executive director of the Salina Area United Way, she's already using ideas she heard at the Symposium in her work to improve health and quality of life in Salina.

To learn more about the Symposium and the difference it's already making for attendees and their communities, please view this month's Health Happenings eNews video.
