Salina Area United Way Funded Partners
Joining Salina Area United Way as a Funded Partner means joining a partnership where the end goal of impact is NOW. We are so excited to continue on in the original style of Funded Partners, which was an impactful business plan for community nonprofits to greatly benefit from back in the day. Funded Partners are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations in our community that receive funding from Salina Area United Way through our annual fundraising Campaign. This allows multiple organizations to work together and truly be UNITED in our community, while donors can give to our annual Campaign and support multiple nonprofit organizations and missions in our local community at once.

Prairieland Market
"In the summer of 2023, an estimated 550 local residents facing food insecurity had access to local healthy produce thanks to a partnership between Prairieland Market and the Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank, made possible by funding from the Salina Area United Way."
Salina Child Care Association
"There was a mother of two children in our program. It was obvious that both the children and her were in an unhealthy domestic living situation. Salina Child Care Association was able to provide financial assistance with the use of Salina Area United Way Funded Partner dollars to the mother so that she could save back money to provide a safer home and atmosphere for her children."
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina
"The Salina Area United Way's funding supports our agency's growing needs to ensure kids have the guidance of a trusted and caring mentor by their side to help them reach their biggest possible futures. Our agency launched workplace mentoring programs to meet volunteers where they are to support youth who are looking for and in need of a mentor. Funded Partner dollars created over 40 matches in 2023 and will continue to impact mentorship and it's growing need in our community."
Love, Chloe Foundation
"Our 'Warrior Wagons' is one of the first items a family receives from the Love, Chloe Foundation after a diagnosis and contains many travel and hospital stay essentials and activities. Our wagons average $1,500 each. So far through Funded Partner dollars, Love, Chloe has provided 11 much needed wagons to families, with two more requests currently pending. As a Funded Partner, giving to Salina Area United Way's annual Campaign will allow our organization to continue to provide Warrior Wagons to Kansas families to help support them through a very difficult time."
Central Kansas Mental Health Center
"In 2022, CKMHC provided services to nearly 5,000 adults and children. Many faced barriers and received all or part of their support within the community, and 58% of patients were uninsured or underinsured. Faced with financial uncertainty or lack of resources, 40% of Kansans that report symptoms of anxiety or depression delay care until they reach a crisis. Being a Funded partner of Salina Area United Way means we can focus on providing care to anyone that comes through our doors, regardless of their ability to pay."
Love, Chloe Foundation
"As a Salina Area United Way Funded Partner in 2022-202, Boy Scouts of America Coronado Area Council was able to provide uniform, handbook, and registration scholarships to 10 scouts who could not afford the fees. We were also able to provide camperships to 18 Cub Scouts and 9 Scouts from Salina, Beloit, and Concordia to attend resident camp. In cooperation with Salina Family YMCA, the Coronado Area Council was also able to provide after-school programming to 141 Scouts each week during the last two school years. Boy Scouts is so proud to be a Funded partner once again in 2023-2024!"
