Salina Area United Way Receives Donation from Kansas Gas Service and Awards Additional Grants through Relief Fund

Salina Area United Way (SAUW) is grateful to have the support of Kansas Gas Service.  Kansas Gas Service will be matching dollar for dollar any funds raised for the SAUW COVID-19 Relief Fund up to $5,000.  Kansas Gas Service is proud, long-time supporter of the Salina Area United Way and continues to show its commitment to our community.

Salina Area United Way Awards Additional Grant Requests Through the COVID-19 Relief Fund and Continues to Receive Support from the Community

Salina Area Technical College Foundation (Salina, KS) - $500 to assist students with the following basic needs rent, utilities, food, gas, bus passes, etc.

New Community Christian Church (Salina, KS) - $500 to place non-perishable items in the Blessing Boxes located at New Community Christian Church, Martin Luther Day Care, and Schilling Grade School.

Salina Area United Way Continues Raising Relief Funds and Awards Funds to Organizations in Need

Salina Area United Way continues to see support in their efforts to raise funds for the SAUW COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund that was launched on March 23, 2020.  With many donations from individuals, John & Karen Mize Charitable Fund, Kent Johnson, Christina Litwiller, Larry & Shirley Day, Valerie & Roger Coberly, David & Donna Munsch, Michael & Lexie Weiser, Amy & Jeremy Schreiner, in the community and continued support from local businesses like Capitol Federal®, who donated $12,500 and The Bank of Tescott who contributed $2,000, SAUW has raised a total of $53,855

SAUW Now Accepting Grant Applications for the SAUW COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund

Salina Area United Way is now accepting applications for funds that have been raised through the SAUW COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.  SAUW strongly believes in being a leader for our community working on the front lines of the COVID-19 event. SAUW is honored to partner with you to help our communities during this critical time of need.
