2026 ECIF Grant Cycle

Opening February 6th- Salina Area United Way is thrilled to announce the launch of Phase 2 in ECIF- which includes the expansion into Ellsworth County and expansion of wage supplement grants to include in-home providers!

Phase 2 of ECIF reflects our commitment to building a more connected, resilient, and expansive childcare ecosystem. This next phase introduces wage supplement grants for both childcare centers and in-home providers, longevity stipends for center-based staff, gym memberships for in-home providers, non-traditional hours grants, bookkeeping support, and additional resources designed to meet providers where they are. Together, these investments reinforce our belief that supporting childcare means supporting the people behind the care—financially, professionally, and holistically.

For Early Childcare Centers

We are here to support childcare centers as essential anchors in the early childhood ecosystem, providing guidance, resources, and partnership through every stage of growth and development. From strengthening operations and leadership to navigating expansion, staffing, and quality improvement, our role is to help centers build sustainable systems that allow them to thrive. By investing in the long-term success of childcare centers, we help ensure stable, high-quality environments where children, families, and educators can succeed together.
